Who do we help?

Talent, effort, and determination: a future that must not stop.

At ESPOL, bright and committed young people have overcome significant challenges to achieve their dream of an excellent education. Their talent and determination have taken them far, and they can go even higher with the proper support.

  • They are students who have demonstrated academic achievement and an unwavering spirit. However, some face financial barriers that jeopardize their continuity in college. Dona Futuro gives them the support they need to focus on what is most important: their education and professional development.
  • They have already come a long way. They just need one last push: help with food, transportation to ESPOL, the rent of a single room (for those who come from other provinces), and, in some cases, basic medicine.
  • Some require assistance with some of these needs, and in other cases of extreme vulnerability, help with each of them. With your support, we guarantee that nothing will stop their growth.

36% of ESPOL students belong to a vulnerable group, whether due to scarce resources, family dysfunction, illness, or disability.

We have assisted these young individuals with various types of scholarships and are now seeking more comprehensive support.

We have categorized the assistance into four categories based on the students’ level of vulnerability, as identified by the Polytechnic Welfare Unit.

SUCCESS STORIES
  • Jimmy Chila: A dream come true

Jimmy had always dreamed of becoming a professional, but financial difficulties made him doubt whether he would make it. There were days when he thought about giving up, but his determination kept him going.

Everything changed when he entered the ESPOL Aid Program, which gave him the support he needed to focus on his education. This aid became his impetus to move forward.

Today, Jimmy is an Electronics and Automation Engineer. His story is a testimony that education transforms lives. Many talented young people like him just need a chance.

"Believing in education is believing in the future", says Jimmy, who today is an ambassador for Dona Futuro.
